Este es una falsa alerta (hoax), los hoaxes frecuentemente tienen muchas variaciones en circulación, son mensajes similares pero no identicos.

Esta falsa alerta advierte de un virus oculto en un archivo MP3 que contiene un extracto de la Budweiser ad. Segun esta falsa alerta, cuando el virus se ejecuta este borrara los archivos del sistema y los archivos con extensión .zip, .doc, .jpg.

Ademas esta falsa alerta asegura ser información enviada por Microsoft.

NEW VIRUS WARNING It is very important to read what follows especially for those people who are on the Internet.

You are no doubt aware of the Budweiser ad where some young guys are having fun by shouting their rallying cry "WAZ UP?" (pronounced Waza) into the phone? Many of you would like to have a copy of this ad. A group of hackers has created a hidden virus in an MP3 file, which, on running, removes system files and all .zip, .doc and .jpg files.

Microsoft has sent us the following message: please send it to everyone you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an MP3 file (piece of music) of the Budweiser ad, which at first sight seems inoffensive. The message is entitled Waza.mp3 and is 472Kb in size. If you receive it, DO NOT OPEN IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - delete it immediately. If you open it, you will lose your computer's SYSTEM FILES and your hard disk will be irreparably infected. Further, the hackers will be able to hack into your computer and will have access to your name and Internet password. All that we know it is that the virus was launched on January 3 2001. It concerns a totally new virus which is extremely dangerous.
