Este es una falsa alerta (hoax), los hoaxes frecuentemente tienen muchas variaciones en circulación, son mensajes similares pero no identicos.
No reenvie los mensajes a otras personas y eliminelo de su computador.

Esta falsa alerta recomienda que si el usuario recibe un email, con el asunto : "Greetings from Simon Pugh " o "Simon Pugh" no debe de abrir dicho mensaje, ya que este tiene un virus que borrara todo el disco duro. mensiona tambien que este virus es mas peligroso que el "Melissa" y no puede ser detectado por ningun programa antivirus hasta el momento. Pide ademas que se envie este mensaje a otras personas para que se enteren de este nuevo virus.

Ademas menciona IBM como autor del mensaje.

"If you receive an email titled "Greetings from Simon Pugh " or anything with the name "Simon Pugh" in the title - DO NOT OPEN IT. It will erase the boot sector of your hard drive. This information was announced yesterday morning from IBM; AOL states that this is a very dangerous virus, much worse than "Melissa", and that there is NO remedy for it at this time. Some very sick individual has succeeded in using the re-format function from Norton Utilities causing it to completely erase the boot sector of your hard drive. It has been designed to work with Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people know about it. Pass this warning along to EVERYONE in your address book and please share it with all your online friends ASAP so that this threat may be stopped. Please practice cautionary measures and tell anyone that may have access to your computer.
